What is a credit in AutoTill?

In AutoTill, one credit is one reply from the AutoTill agent to a visitor. Visitor messages are free. Credits are not charged per word, character, token or conversation, so a short reply and a long reply each use one credit, which makes costs easy to predict and check.

How many free credits do I get?

New AutoTill accounts receive 100 free credits, once. That is enough to try the agent on your live website with real visitors. When the free credits run out, the agent switches off automatically and you are emailed with plan options. Nothing is charged without your choice.

How much does AutoTill cost per month?

AutoTill plans start with Lite at £20/month for 500 agent replies, or £192/year. Starter is £39/month for 1,300 replies, Growth is £129/month for 6,500 and Scale is £399/month for 40,000. Prices are as published in October 2026; check the pricing page for current figures.

Are top-ups cheaper than plans?

No, deliberately. Top-ups cost £40 for 1,000 credits and £400 for 10,000, the highest per-reply rate. They are for occasional busy periods. For regular volume, moving to a larger plan is always better value, because larger plans cost less per reply.

Do human replies use credits?

No. Replies typed by your team during human takeover are not agent replies and do not use credits. Visitor messages are also free. Only replies sent by the AutoTill agent use credits, and each one appears on the Usage page against its conversation.

What happens when I run out of credits?

On the free start, the agent switches off automatically when the last credit is used, and the account owner is emailed with options. For agency-managed clients, the agency is copied. Choosing a plan or top-up lets the agent be switched back on.

Can I see exactly where my credits went?

Yes. The AutoTill Usage page lists every conversation in the chosen period with visitor messages, agent replies, credits used and the credit source, such as Free trial, Bonus, Plan allowance or Top-up. Open any row to read the full conversation in a side panel.

Does AutoTill take a percentage of sales?

No. AutoTill pricing is not revenue share. Plans are fixed monthly prices with a reply allowance, so a large order costs the same in credits as a small one. You keep all your revenue, and your store handles payment through its own checkout.

Can an agency pay for client usage?

Yes. In the AutoTill agency workspace, an agency can subscribe to a plan and choose which clients draw on the agency allowance and which pay for their own plan. Agency-paid usage appears on the agency Usage page with a client filter, rather than on the client's Usage page.
